Q: What other tourist attractions are nearby?
The great Lake of the Ozarks is only 20-25 miles from us. Countless opportunities for shopping, dining, water recreation, and golfing about 30 minutes away.
Q: Are picket lines or trailer tie-outs permitted in camp?
No. To ensure the preservation of our trees and the grass we require that the horses be stalled. We hope you find our spacious stalls acceptable at the $5.00/week rate.
Q: Do you have wood available for campsite use?
Yes we do. We will show you where it is at so you can help yourself.
Q: Are there creeks or rivers to ride through?
There is no significant running water on the ranch; occasionally we have some "wet-weather" creeks. However, the Osage River is just a 4 mile ride away and should satisfy most water-bugs.
Q: Are dogs allowed in camp?
Sure they are, but please be considerate of the other campers by keeping the pets on leash at all times and only in the camp. They are not allowed out on the trails.
Q: Can we ride at the ranch other than during scheduled rides?
Sure! Camping and riding "by-the-day" are available with your prepaid reservation. We request a minimum of one week notice of your plans. Please call for pricing. Meals will not be available. All regular rules apply.
Q: Will there be live entertainment during scheduled rides?
Well, that depends on your definition of "live entertainment". If you can consider some of the excitement the horses and mules provide both in camp and on the trails, by all means...we have live entertainment! Seriously, we generally have a band playing in the hall on Saturday night of the scheduled rides. You will also enjoy the Friday night Fun Shows in our arena with free entry fees for registered guests.
Q: Will there be a photographer available?
We do not have a photographer on a regular basis, but if you request it upon registering, we will attempt to get one scheduled.
